With the act coming up I thought I should dedicate this post towards it. Personally, I think it is dumb that one test can determine where you go in college. I believe that the work you show through high school is what the universities should look at. Yes it is unfair because some high schools do not compare to ones like Okemos. So that is why they have a standard test to see where we all stand. But the ACT format is not user friendly to all. Other reasons I do not like it is because I am good at history, yet I am not tested. Science is my worst subject and I am tested on it.
So,.. to prepare the for the act, I have taken some classes on PLC day, and as well as getting myself a tutor so she can help me raise my score high enough to get into Michigan State. I already know my weakest subject which was the grammar section. So recently to prepare I have been working on grammar structure with my tutor, along with the grammar lessons we get help from in class. So, what is your weakest subject for the act? How are you going to get through it? What strategies do you have?
